My name is Elle, let me tell you a little about myself. I've been a hairdresser for nearly 30 years. That industry never paid very well, never got pay increases, or at least not for about 25 years into the industry. I've tried other things, but always fell back into the hair industry. While in the industry, there were good weeks and bad. On good weeks, I would put a little extra away to help cover any expenses that I may not be able to cover if I were to have a bad week. I've always lived on about $20,000 a year give or take.
I was able to buy a home and raise my two boys on my own with that income. It wasn't easy, there were many hard times. I did have some social security money coming in for my boys. That helped cover my mortgage and a couple other bills until my boys turned 18.
When my youngest son was about to turn 18, I knew I needed to refinance my mortgage to get a lower monthly payment or I was going to lose my house. My payments were just too high. I managed to do it. If you stick around, I can teach you more about how I did it, and how I might be able to help you achieve your financial freedom.
